9.APIPA

The setting of On will cause the print server to automatically allocate a Link-Local IP address in the range

(169.254.1.0 - 169.254.254.255) when the print server cannot obtain an IP address through the BOOT

Method you have set (see 1.BOOT Method on page 4-1). Selecting Off means the IP address doesn’t change,

when the print server cannot obtain an IP address through the BOOT Method you have set.

Press Menu.

Press ▲ or ▼ to select 3.LAN.

Press Set.

(For Wired) Press ▲ or ▼ to select 1.TCP/IP(Wired).

(For Wireless) Press ▲ or ▼ to select 2.TCP/IP(WLAN).

Press Set.

Press ▲ or ▼ to select 9.APIPA.

Press Set.

Press ▲ or ▼ to select On or Off.

Press Set.

Press Stop/Exit.

(For MFC-640CW)

(For Wired) Press Menu/Set, 5, 1, 9.

(For Wireless) Press Menu/Set, 5, 2, 9.

Press ▲ or ▼ to select On or Off.

Press Menu/Set.

Press Stop/Exit.

(For MFC-820CW)

Press Menu.

Press ▲ or ▼ to select LAN.

Press OK.
